1.Role of total equipotential connection(MEB):
The total equipotential connection ACTS on the whole building,which can reduce the indirect contact voltage of the indirect contact electric shock in the building and the potential difference between different metal parts to a certain extent,and eliminate the hazard of the dangerous fault voltage introduced from outside the building through the electrical circuit and various metal pipes.Therefore,in the building of each power supply into the line,generally set up with the total potential connection terminal plate(MEB),by the equal potential connection terminal plate radially connected or linked in and out of the building of metal pipes,metal structural members.
According to electrical accidents at home and abroad,most of low pressure system short circuit for phase line to touch the equipment shell,the structure of the metal pipe and the ground fault of the earth(ground short circuit),and the equipment shell,pipes,structural belt of fault voltage along the electrical wiring and all kinds of metal pipe into the risk of breakdown voltage can lead to personal electric shock or electrical fire accident,buildings for total equipotential connection can eliminate or reduce the breakdown voltage,the effect is better than pure grounding.
2.Role of local equipotential(LEB)connection:
Local equipotential(LEB)connection is within the scope of a local place through local equipotential connection terminal board connected electrically conductive parts,usually in the bathroom,swimming pool,hospital operating room,farming and animal husbandry,such as particularly dangerous place,the risk of electric shock accident is bigger,requires less contact voltage,or to meet the requirements of information system anti-interference,general local equipotential connection also has a terminal board or connect ring.In short,the local equipotential connection can be viewed as the total equipotential connection over this local range.
3.Functions of auxiliary equipotential connection(SEB):
Auxiliary equal potential connection(SEB)is between phase face conduction part,connect directly with wire,make its potential is equal or close,it is when the time requirement that cannot satisfy to cut off circuit in protection of some partial ground fault of electric device commonly,make auxiliary equal potential connection,after connecting between two conduction part,can reduce contact voltage.
