　　Vision sensor is an instrument that USES optical elements and imaging devices to obtain image information of external environment.Usually image resolution is used to describe the performance of vision sensor.The accuracy of the vision sensor is not only related to the resolution,but also related to the detection distance of the measured object.The farther away the object is,the less accurate its position is.The whole machine vision system is a direct source of information,mainly composed of one or two graphics sensors,sometimes with light projectors and other auxiliary equipment.The main function of the vision sensor is to obtain enough original images to be processed by the machine vision system.
　　Image sensors can be laser scanners,linear and planar CCD cameras or TV cameras,or new digital cameras.
　　After capturing the image,the vision sensor compares it to a reference image stored in memory for analysis.For example,if the vision sensor is set to identify machine parts with eight bolts inserted correctly,the sensor knows to reject parts with only seven bolts,or parts with misaligned bolts.In addition,the vision sensor can make a judgment regardless of where the machine component is located in the field of view,and whether the component is rotating in a 360-degree range.
